Paul Weller - Singer and songwriter
Steve Trigg is known as 'The General' and for a very good reason; he’s always got great ideas , has his troops (the hard brass corps) under control and is always well turned out and looking sharp. His influences and points of reference are varied and not at all rooted in jazz (in my opinion), but in the horns of the great and good soul and funk records of the 70’s - but then he and his great section can also play soft and beautiful too. Wonderful, melodic and punchy lines - and for this 'Generale', I salute you... PW Jan '21
PP Arnold - London's First Lady of Soul
I first met Steve Trigg in 2005 when we both performed on the Mod Aid single ´Whatcha Gonna Do About It' with Chris Farlowe, Ronnie Wood, Steve Cradock, Molly Marriott and a host of others. We kept in touch and I was delighted when Steve Cradock agreed to music direct my 2019 'New Adventures of PP Arnold´ tour and told me that Steve would be joining us on the tour.
What an asset he was to the band. A very cool, classy, man of distinction, he is an old school, true professional, great musician/arranger and a lovely, kind man. He´s an amazing player at the top of his game. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him and I definitely look forward to working with him again.
Neil Sheasby - Bass player, songwriter and founding member of Stone Foundation
I’ve been in bands since I was 14 and nearly always favoured the sound of a horn section as part of the line up so I’ve worked with many top players and arrangers over the years, none more so impressive than Steve. His professionalism and understanding of what a song requires is second to none. A great attitude and work ethic, plus he’s one of the good guys and easy to get along with which is another vital asset and attribute when you spend so much time on the road or in a studio together. I feel blessed and privileged that our musical paths crossed and we have subsequently become great friends too. (Photo by Allan McKay)

"Steve made an outstanding contribution to my rebooted videogame soundtrack for Transport Tycoon both in tracking section parts but more notably, knocking out some solo trumpet chops from serious to cheeky that had me grinning from ear to ear. He’s quick, smart, self-editing and totally reliable - a gifted player with wonderful musicality and vibe. It’s also been an absolute pleasure and a blast to share live music stages with him a few times. A first call"

My session with Steve and the Little Big Horns was a pleasure from start to finish. Steve was a big help regarding arrangements and they provided the authentic sound I was looking for on the day. Very pleased with the results.
